GCSE students at Lammas School have performed fantastically well this year with 100% pass rate at grade 5 and above.. We are incredibly proud of our hardworking students!
The overall level of top grades within GCSEs have dropped, however 63% of exams taken at Lammas School have returned a result of grade 7 or higher, the equivalent of A and above. 25% of these grades were of the highest achievable mark of grade 9, which is well above the national average. Ofqual, the chief exam regulator, has drawn up a complex formula to determine how many 9s it will award. Ofqual predicts that only 3 percent of students sitting GCSE Maths will receive a 9, down from the 7 percent awarded an A* last year. In English Language, 2 percent will be given a 9, Ofqual predicts, down from the 4 percent given an A* last year. A massive well done to our wonderful Lammas students - keep up the hard work!
