Junior School

The Junior School, which takes pupils from age 5, centres its philosophy on creating a supportive and happy environment for the early years of education.  We aim to develop each child to his or her full potential so that they will have a strong basis of confidence and enthusiasm as they continue into secondary education. 

At the Junior School, each child is nurtured both educationally and personally.  Our curriculum lays the foundation for standards of excellence with literacy and numeracy skills with a focus on oral and written communication and interpretation, reading fluency, spelling and presentation. The techniques and conceptual understanding of mathematical principals and processes are strongly emphasised.

The classrooms were refurbished in the summer of 2010 and are a bright and colourful environment to learning and play. The atmosphere is safe and secure with a family feel.   The small classes ensure each child gets the attention to be the best they can be.  Pupils benefit by experiencing the whole of the educational process without the worry of having to change school at 11 years of age.
