Best Ever GCSE Results
The NEW Lammas School students excitedly opened their GCSE results yesterday to discover 86 per cent achievement of 5 or more A* to C grades. This was the highest achievement since the school’s inception in 1981, and up from 45.5% this time last year under the "old" Lammas School. Head teacher Mr Rod Singleton said: “We are thrilled with the results and are extremely proud of our students." In preparation for the GCSEs, the teaching staff devoted , who worked individually with our students to ensure they achieved the very best that they could.”
Mr Singleton has just returned from taking the new Sixth Form students to York University for a taste of university life before starting their A Level studies at the New Lammas School Sixth Form. “This trip helps our students focus on the tangible result of their academic studies.” |
